Edmonton Oilers’ head coach, Chris Noeboch, was fired after a disappointing season. The name of the new head coach has not yet been announced. Additionally, Mark Stewart’s assistant was also fired.

“After careful analysis of last year’s results, we believe it’s necessary to make these changes to our team,” said the team’s general manager, Stan Bowman. “We are grateful to Chris and Mark for their significant contributions to our organization. We wish them all the best in the future.”

Noeboch has been leading the team since 2023. He managed the team to the Stanley Cup finals twice, but both times they were defeated by the Florida Panthers.
