The Belgrade arena became chaotic in just a few minutes before the start of the final of the Serbian Cup. Active fans of “Crvena Zvezda” caused disturbances in the stands and on the streets around the stadium. The tension reached its peak when a group of fans engaged in physical confrontation with police officers. The police had to take active measures to control the situation. Due to the threat of safety concerns, the organizers of the tournament decided to postpone the start of the main match by thirty minutes. For now, there was silence on the field, but clashes continued outside the stands. The match between “Crvena Zvezda” and “Vojvodina” still took place, but the pre-match incidents left a serious problem regarding safety in the stadiums of the region.
