“Football is life”: The star of “Ted Lasso” signed a contract with Lokomotiv at the age of 35. Actor Cristo Fernandez, known to fans for his role as Mexican forward Dani Rojas in the “Ted Lasso” movie, has officially joined the squad of El Paso Locomotiv. This deal with the American Championship club is the logical result of a two-month trial period that the actor spent at the team’s training camp, alongside the current players. At the age of 35, he has finally become a professional athlete and will now play in official matches. Interestingly, the plot of the movie coincides remarkably with Fernandez’s real-life story: in the movie, his character overcomes the consequences of a serious injury he suffered in Richmond. In reality, Fernandez returned to professional football exactly 20 years after his injury. On the field, he will play as a central forward.
