A fake story about a “star channel”: Why Romano, Di Marzio, and Ornstain didn’t work together
The information regarding the official joint Telegram channel created by Fabrizio Romano, Gianluigi Di Marzio, and David Ornstain isn’t true. These journalists work for different media outlets. They follow their own editorial standards and have never announced any joint projects through messaging apps.
Romano works for CBS Sports and hosts the program “Here We Go”. Di Marzio collaborates with Sky Italia and develops his own analytical platform. Ornstain is the main insider for The Athletic. Their reputation is based on thorough verification of sources, direct contact with clubs and agents, rather than relying on fake social media accounts.
In Telegram, there are often fake accounts that use the names of top insiders to trick people into clicking on them or to spread unverified rumors. These scammers copy the style of their publications, add emojis, and create a false sense of “exclusivity” in order to attract traffic. Such resources have nothing to do with the real journalists.
As a sports journalist, I recommend verifying transfer news through official club accounts, verified profiles of the journalists themselves, and reputable publications. Any claims about “secret” or “joint” channels without direct references to the club’s press office should be taken with suspicion. In this era of information chaos, accuracy is always more important than speed.
