The Spanish chapter is closed: Eric Bailly officially leaves Real Oviedo.
It’s official: Eric Bailly has left Real Oviedo.
The Asturian club confirmed that they have terminated the contract with the 30-year-old defender by mutual agreement. The Ivorian player played for the team for just over half a year, but he wasn’t able to establish himself as a regular player. He played only 14 matches in the Segunda División, and he received one yellow card during his time at Real Oviedo.
For the former player of Manchester United and Villarreal, this is already his third Spanish club in his career. Now, Bailly is a free agent. According to insiders, he is considering options in the Middle East leagues or returning to the English Premier League. Real Oviedo, on the other hand, plans to strengthen its defense during the winter transfer window, in order to maintain its chances of improving its standing in the league.
We will keep an eye on the development of this defender’s career, along with any new transfer rumors.
