King of Bernabeu: Mbappé officially recognized as the best player of the season
Real Madrid has concluded its 2025/26 season, awarding the title of best player to Kylian Mbappé. The French forward finished the season with 38 goals and 14 assists in all competitions. He became a key factor in Real Madrid’s dominance in La Liga and their return to the top of European football.
However, statistics only partially reflect Mbappé’s impact on the team’s performance. His speed in passing, his calmness in the penalty area, and his ability to decide the outcome of matches made him an indispensable element of Carlo Anchietti’s tactical system. The forward played in 49 matches, with Real Madrid winning 31 of them and drawing 12.
“This isn’t just my personal achievement. It’s the result of the teamwork of the entire coaching staff, the medical team, and everyone who works with me,” said Mbappé during the ceremony. Real Madrid’s head coach emphasized that the French player had fully adapted to the club’s philosophy and became a leader both on the field and off it.
The recognition as the best player of the 2025/26 season has solidified Mbappé’s status as a new icon of San Santiago Bernabeu. There’s still much to be achieved in terms of defending titles, competing for the Golden Ball, and setting new records. But one thing is clear: Mbappé’s era in Madrid has officially begun.
