The incident during the amateur championship in Khakasia went far beyond the boundaries of sportsmanship. The footballer from Montenegrin team “Sibiryak” delivered a powerful blow to the player from Akhan’s KSSh team. As a result, the opponent lost consciousness right on the grass field. Such actions have no justification in any sport.
According to the rules of the Russian Football Federation, aggression on the field is punishable by long-term disqualification. If there are signs of serious injury, the matter is reported to the law enforcement authorities. The disciplinary committee has already initiated an investigation. Football should remain a game with a ball, not a place for resolving conflicts.
