Officially: 8 players from Barcelona have been called up for the World Cup!

The Spanish national team’s coaching staff announced their squad for the upcoming tournament. The Catalan club once again becomes the main source of players for the “Red Devils”. The final squad includes goalkeeper Joan Garcia, defenders Paú Kubarsi and Eric Garcia, midfielders Pedri, Gavi, and Dani Olmo, as well as forwards Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal.

Such a concentration of talents from one club is a rare occurrence in modern tournaments. Spain is betting on a recognizable playing style, where technical midfielders set the pace, while young defenders and attackers provide vertical dynamics. Gavi’s return after recovering from an injury, along with Kubarsi’s readiness to take on a leadership role, greatly enhances the team’s strength.

For Barcelona, this is both a recognition of the team’s talent and a challenge for the coaching staff. The club needs to carefully arrange the rotation of players so as not to overburden key players. Nevertheless, such a strong squad makes the Spanish team one of the favorites for the tournament.

We will keep watching the preparations of the teams and look forward to the opening matches of the World Cup!
