The Japanese Football Association has launched a project based on the anime “Blue Lock”. This project involves talented players under the age of 16 who have Japanese ancestry. These players will undergo training programs to develop their individual skills, psychological resilience, and competitive spirit. The program fundamentally changes the way training is conducted. Instead of relying on collective tactics, emphasis is placed on developing individual skills. The participants will face tough challenges, with each round eliminating those who are not strong enough. Only those who are ready to take on the game will be left.
The author of the manga “Blue Lock”, Kaneshiro Muneyuki, personally approved of this project. He said that along with the leaders of the Japanese football community, there are also “true egoists” who can help to break the traditional ways of thinking and take the national team to a new level in international competitions. The training programs have already been set up, and scouts are actively searching for talented players from around the world to participate in the final stages of the program.
