The transfer of Egor Korshkov: Korškov moves to Siberia, while Golovnёv heads to Chelyabinsk.
The KHL clubs have officially confirmed the transfer deal: the 29-year-old forward Egor Korshkov will move to Novosibirsk, while the young forward Egor Golovnёv will head to Chelyabinsk. This exchange is a classic example of a “experience-for-the-future” strategy, where both teams can fulfill their tactical and personnel needs.
For “Siberia,” Korshkov is a valuable addition to their attacking line. He has 585 games under his belt, scoring 260 points (103 goals, 157 assists) in the KHL. Last season, he played very well for “Tractor”: he scored 37 points (16 goals, 21 assists) in 68 games. His high starting speed, ability to play without scoring, and well-trod skills make him a great choice for the top team in Novosibirsk, who lack creativity in the attacking zone.
“Tractor,” on the other hand, is investing in development. Golovnёv has shown his talent in the MHL, scoring 52 points (21 goals, 31 assists) in 63 games for “Siberian Snipers”. The Chelyabinsk scouts see him as a player with high potential, who can quickly adapt to the higher levels of play. Moving to “Tractor” will give him access to modern training methods and the opportunity to become a key player in the next 1-2 seasons.
From a team management perspective, this deal makes sense: Novosibirsk gets a skilled forward who can help them compete in the playoffs right now, while Chelyabinsk retains flexibility with their salary cap and can add more talented forwards. It’s expected that Korshkov will get playing time in Novosibirsk’s starting lines immediately, while Golovnёv will undergo full pre-season training with the main team of “Tractor”.
The KHL transfer window is becoming more active, but this deal already sets the tone for competition in the Eastern Conference. Every detail of the team’s composition can be crucial in the fight for the Gagarin Cup.
