A bloody night in the capital: clashes between fans of Nice and Parisians before the final of the French Cup
On the eve of the decisive match of the tournament, a violent fight broke out in central Paris. A group of 100–150 radical fans of Nice attacked a bar where about 40 members of the fan movement of the capital club were gathered. The conflict turned into a fierce hand-to-hand fight that lasted for several minutes. According to local media reports, at least ten people suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospitals. The police cordoned off the area, and efforts are being made to find the people who started the disturbance. This incident forces the organizers to reconsider their security measures before the final of the national cup.
